Who Should Attend the Conference

Because issues of love and romance affect us all, It’s Worth the Wait Conference is recommended for junior high and high school students. Christians and non-Christians alike will benefit from these timeless truths. Students in grades 6th to 12th, youth leaders, and parents are encouraged to attend.

The conference is also great for parents looking for a solution on how to discuss this topic with their teenager. Parents may attend the student conference or the Parent Track. If the Parent Track is offered at the conference then we encourage them to attend for relevant teaching.

Parent Track Details

The Parent Track has been developed to address the needs of parents that arise regarding the Worth the Wait Conferences. Many times, parents are interested or concerned about what their children are being taught. Additionally, they often need tools to equip them to reinforce at home the Biblical message regarding relationships and sex. Finally, in our experience, we’ve found that a students learning environment for these sensitive issues can be hampered when mom or dad are sitting next to them (it often freaks them out!).

To solve all of these potential issues, the Parent Track is designed to run concurrently with the SOS for Students Conference. Below are pertinent details about the Parent Track:

• A separate speaker teaches the Parent Track. Each Parent Track speaker has experience dealing with students of this age as both a parent and a pastor.
• The teaching incorporates the same principles being taught to the students along with how to teach/reinforce the principles at home. Suggestions for following-up with the students are also provided.
• Includes a Q & A section and interaction with other parents.
• The Parent Track can run concurrently with the SOS for Students Conference or can be held the day before or after the Conference.
• Registration fee includes a study guide with curriculum written specifically for parents.
• Registration fees are the same price as the students’ fees.
